SHOEMINT'S Jolly

Out of the box I loved these boots. They seem to be constructed nicely. The quality looks top notch and the suede looks soft, elegant and even. It definitely runs small. The website says order 1/2 size up. I did and it’s still a bit snug.

I like the heel hight. It has enough lift to bring you up and not so much to make you feel wobbly.

Wearing these darlings, I am thinking close cropped jeans.

My one critique about the design is the little loop on the back. I think it distracts. I would have liked a smoother look on the back.

Comparing my first SHOEMINT item to other shoe club items I have purchased I would have to say the big competition SHOEMINT will have to go up against is JUSTFAB. SHOEMINT has top notch merchandise and their first selections looked very desirable, but their selection as of December 28 is small. JUSTFAB has comparable shoe styles and a wide variety of other styles.

SHOEMINT uses real leather and suede where JUSTFAB uses animal friendly materials. I find the JUSTFAB material are hard to distinguish from actual animal hide and they seem to hold up just as well as real leather and suede.

The SHOEMINT price range is higher than most other shoe clubs. This is understandable because of the materials they use.  In my opinion, SHOEMINT’s first selection is real competition for the other shoe clubs, but at about twice the cost, their price range may be an issue.
