So it’s 12:33 on the first day of 2012. As soon as the minute hand clicked over I was refreshing the SHOEMINT webpage waiting to see the selections. I was a little sad to see not much of an expanded selection. I would definitely like to see more. Please Rachel! give us more selections!

That said and out of the way, What I did see, I liked. A lot.

Kathy, a slick shiny, patent leather number caught my eye immediately. It is different from the couple of styles previously shown and cute as all get out. Check out the video of Kathy being modeled (I think Just Fab was the first to video model their merchandise)

The next new release I am thinking about getting is Janice:

ShoeMint's Janice

I really like this bootie. The natural color. The smooth lines. Clean and sharp. I mentioned when reviewing the Jolly that I didn’t like the little loop on the back of the boots, but the little “loop like” detail on the sides of this bootie fit perfectly in the design. One thing I didn’t like was the black version of Janice. The cut line running up the boot to the little loop detail I mentioned, looks odd. It looks fine in the natural taupe color but looks out of place in black

Kathy and Janice were my only options as the rest of my selections were pretty much the same stuff I’ve already been offered. What I have seen so far is beautiful but a tad repetitious. Hopefully as ShoeMint grows the selections will become more varied in style.

Now I need to figure out if I should buy the Janice or Kathy.
